It's official! I'm so excited I can't hardly think straight, let alone type, so I'll try to explain
"No, there is too much, let me sum up!"
We went to court today, knowing that our attorney was going to ask for a finalization, but not expecting it to be immediately forthcoming.
Lo and behold, the judge decided that he would finalize not only ours, but Little Sisters adoption as well! Within two hours of our getting to the courthouse, I was handed the actual, real life, dyed in the wool adoption decree!!
It is official, and irrevocable! His name as of today is:
Daniel William Elliott!
(wouldn't you know, no one thought to bring a real camera, so we were all using cell phones - thus the fuzzy picture. Oh well! Too happy to care...)

I have not stopped bawling since I read this earlier. I am so happy for you guys. We know Daniel is in a wonderful family and will be taken care of with love .

How wonderful! I remember that day when my own grandson's adoption was final. We were on pins and needles for months, and we didn't have to wait nearly as long as you did.

Even more happy thoughts are sent your way! We can't wait to hear when you get to go the Temple with him. We had the girls sealed to us 5 days after their adoption was final. WOW! That was almost 11 yrs ago now!! We well remember the great feelings of joy on that day!
